- Support and consult cement plants in the field of production optimization and process engineering to reduce production cost
- With special focus on kiln, preheater, clinker cooler, alternative fuel burning, also in the field of detailed process design
- Support plants in process troubleshooting
- Planning and leading performance tests and plant audits (OPEX)
- Drive implementation of action plans
- Judgement of measuring results and advice for improvements to maximize production performance
- Perform operational performance meetings (pyro process part)
- Conduct process improvement studies
- Regular monitoring and evaluation of operation coefficients and Key Performance Indicators
- Ensure production installation are in compliance with norms and regulations regarding environmental compliance
- Work on investment and non-investment projects
- General process design and review (including selection the most suitable pyroprocess technology and equipment) for feasibility studies
- Flow-sheets design and equipment selection for the most cost-effective solutions
- Process calculations (mass and energy flow calculations)
- Detailed engineering reviews to meet required production objectives and constraints
- Process related risk assessments, HAZOP, process related functional analysis, interlock analysis
- Lead and participate in commissioning and performance testing
- Support acquisition projects by evaluating cement plants and supporting technical due diligence
- Support group-wide knowledge management in the field of production and process engineerin
- Ensure deployment of best practices and guidelines, including in the field of health & safety
- Conduct training of plant personnel regarding process understanding, plant equipment, operation and optimization
- University degree in engineering (mining, process, mechanical, chemistry)
- Minimum 10 years professional experience in the cement industry, with an international/intercultural background, preferably in managing positions in cement plants or a corporate organization supporting plants in process /product optimization
o Solid Knowledge of clinker manufacturing pyro-process and relevant equipment. Clinker and cement chemistry knowledge would be an advantage.
o Entrepreneurial thinking and acting, ability to analyse problems and select proper corrective actions
o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and high ethical values
o Strong cost awareness in terms of business thinking
o Willingness to extensively travel abroad

Fluent in English. French, German, Italian or Spanish would be advantages
