IPC - Internationale Projekt Consult GmbH is a provider of advisory services to financial institutions and education providers in transition economies and developing countries. Our activities are concentrated on three main areas: Development Finance, Environment and Energy, and Training and Skills Development. Our partners and clients include KfW, the EBRD, and the GIZ, as well as regional development banks and local commercial banks. For our Green Finance team, supporting financial institutions worldwide in the area of mitigation and adaptation finance as well as in environmental management aspects, we are currently looking for a Senior Consultant in green/climate finance (f/m/d) Your tasks You will support the Green Finance team with the implementation of green/climate finance projects worldwide. Your responsibilities will include: conducting market studies on green and sustainable investment potential conducting feasibility studies in the area of climate change mitigation and adaption leading interdisciplinary teams in project implementation supporting our partners in implementing GHG reporting developing and implementing training measures backstopping local consultants during project implementation providing consultancy support and conducting short-term and long-term assignments to our projects in various countries identifying new project opportunities supporting the strategic development of the green / climate finance area Your profile relevant degree in economics, finance or political science at least 10 years of practical experience in the field of climate change mitigation or adaption and/or climate finance experience with GHG accounting methodologies and/or reporting on climate-related financial information (i.e. TCFD) experience with green/climate taxonomies and standards experience in the financial sector and co-operation with financial institutions and/or familiarity with GCF procedure (concept note, funding proposals) or similar funds and institutions is an advantage interdisciplinary project experience as well as aptitude and enthusiasm for training staff at our partner institutions strong research and writing skills excellent command of English and at least one other relevant language (e.g. Spanish, French, Russian) high interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability and determination to communicate in a sincere and open manner willingness to travel and interest in short and longterm assignments to our projects IPC offers interesting and challenging work which requires a pragmatic approach, the desire to work efficiently in an interdisciplinary team and the assertiveness needed to get difficult jobs done right.
